FAQ - AIR PLANTS

Sea shell air plant display

What in the world is a Tilly?!

"Tilly" is short for Tillandsia, which is the botanical name for a type of plant commonly known as "air plants".  Air plants are epiphytes - which means they derive all of their nutrients from air and moisture. They can grow just about any where, and don't require soil at all!

How do I care for my Tilly?

It's easy! Simply place your Tilly in bright filtered light and mist every 3-5 days with bottled water. You may also use tap water that has been left out overnight, allowing for the chlorine in the tap water to dissipate. If your Tilly is not attached to an arrangement you can soak it for 20-30 min in a bowl every few weeks.

What if my Tilly came unglued from its arrangement?

No worries! You can use a glue gun to glue it back on! Or, if you prefer, you can use an E6000-type adhesive.. It's industrial strength, and tends to hold better than glue gun adhesive. We offer small tubes on our website HERE!

FAQ - ORDERING & SHIPPING

Sea urchin air plant display.

Do you ship worldwide?

Unfortunately, due to customs regulations, we can only ship within the United States.

When will I get my order?

We ship orders Mon-Tues-Weds. We do this so that there's less of a chance of your order sitting on a delivery truck over the weekend, which is especially important during times of extreme temperatures. Keep this in mind when ordering during heavy shopping seasons (Christmas/Valentine's Day). While we are prompt with our shipping, delivery services such as USPS and UPS aren't always as reliable! Please allow plenty of time for your gift order to arrive!

We do ship year round! If it's going to be below freezing (32°F) when you place your order, we strongly recommend that you add a heat pack! If it's going to be below 20°F, we suggest that you purchase 2 heat packs and/or upgrade to expedited shipping!

Can I return or exchange my order?

Unfortunately, no. All sales are final. Plants are already stressed by shipping. Allowing returns just adds unnecessary stress, and there's no guarantee that the plant will be packed properly for return shipping.

If your arrangement or planter is damaged during transit due to carrier negligence, please CONTACT US so that we can work out a solution!
